We are looking for a System/Network Engineer with proven experience in IT helpdesk support, desktop administration, and networking. This position supports the internal information technology infrastructure and users of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Support
o Administers Active Directory
o Supporting Windows 2008 Server environments
o Performs network troubleshooting
• User Support
o Resolves internal helpdesk issues
o Uses ticketing system to document symptoms, update status, assign case priority
o Performs OS/application installation
o Performs printer/ device troubleshooting
o Performs desktop/ laptop imaging
• Administrative Tasks
o Documents configurations per department’s Change Control methodologies
o Coordinates equipment relocation
o Responsible for escalating support calls to vendors
o Assists IT Director in planning, purchasing and implementation of all hardware and software
Additional Responsibilities:

• This position supports a 24/7 datacenter operation. Some work will be performed outside of normal business hours. The employee will be required to carry a cell phone for on-call support.
• Travel up to 10%

Skills/Experience:

Required
• 2+ years related IT experience; 3-5 years preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Experience with Network troubleshooting
• Windows Server 2008/Windows 7 Administration
• Problem-solving abilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a local and remote user environment
• Must be able to carry and move up to 50 lbs. of IT equipment
Preferred
• CompTIA A+ certification
• CompTIA Network+ certification
• Microsoft MCSA certification
• VMware vSphere/ESXi administration
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
