Home furnishings store in Reston with over 7 years in the business. We specialize in custom upholstery and children’s furniture. We are a fashion-forward store with chic styles similar to what you would see in the large retail catalogs, but at a lower price. We are not a traditional retail store with retail hours. Our hours are Tuesday-Friday 10am-3pm; Saturday 10am-4pm; Sunday 12pm-4pm.

Our past employees and current employees truly have a passion for home design and enjoy spending a few hours away from their regular schedule whether it be a full-time job during the week or full-time parenting. This is a relaxed, no-stress environment where our customers truly enjoy their shopping experience. Our new designer should have a fashion-forward presence with a familiarity of current home design trends as seen in Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Crate-n-Barrel, and Ballard Designs catalogs.

We are currently looking for someone with an interior design & sales background who enjoys working with customers. Terms you should be familiar with: contrast welting, tight back, poly fill, tufting, english roll arm, COM, loose back cushions, 3 over 3 cushions, bench cushion, down blend, micro-denier, and corner wedge. Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of these terms; if not, please do not apply.

Qualifications:
- punctual and reliable
- must work Tues/Wed (10-3pm) and alternating Saturdays 10am-4pm
- quick learner and possess strong attention to detail
- minimum 1 year experience in a home furnishings store

Responsibilities:
- assist customers in the selection and purchase of items from start to end
- assit in maintaining store appearance through merchandising (must be able to move furniture across floor)
- learn vendor catalogs and fabric selections; update catalogs
