Vicom Systems is currently looking for a Project Manager to manage the delivery of multiple data migration projects to Vicom customers. The hired candidate will be expected to create and refine templates, documentation, processes and lead projects to successful completion. The Vicom project manager works with the support of the pre-sales team and delivery people and receives general directions from the delivery manager. This position starts out as temporary with possibility to turn permanent down the road.

Role and responsibility
The person will be responsible for the following:
-Working with various levels of stakeholders (director and below) within the customer project teams to build relationships and manage expectations
-Development of project plans, project summary, executive presentations and technical reports
-Tracking and reporting project status, plan updates, risk items, completion of project activities
-Holding regular status meetings with project teams and clients and keeping everyone informed with changes and news
-Escalating issues (internal, external) of projects and driving to resolutions
-Ensuring total satisfaction and expectations of stakeholders (customer, partner and Vicom)

General requirements & experience:
Fully qualified candidate will be an experienced, energetic project manager ready to implement a high performance data migration solution into enterprise accounts. Strong project delivery skills such as presentation, documentation, communication, writing and a hardworking attitude are key. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Solid understanding of project management and process flow required. Technical knowledge of data center issues, including physical infrastructures, and multiple experiences participating in major data center upgrades and data migrations is desirable. Specific experience includes but not limited to:

-5+ years of project management experience (methodologies, processes, problem solving) in IT environment with storage solutions
-Generated documentation, operations deliverables and tools related to data migration methodology, process and support
-Delivered projects for and with Fortune 500 clients.
-Managed larger scale, complex data migration projects involved at least 30+ people, 300+ servers, 200+ TBs, SAN fabrics and SAN/NAS storage designs
-PMP or ITIL certification is a plus
