Please send resume and salary requirementsBachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or other similar engineering program.
Minimum of six (6) months of professional experience in Naval Architecture or a similar engineering field; especially knowledgeable in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• The engineer shall possess experience in four (4) of the following areas:
o Stability analysis experience and associated software familiarity (e.g. GHS, SHCP, CARGOMAX, POSSE).
o Regulatory body rules, regulations, and the approval process.
o Structural analysis experience and associated software familiarity (e.g. ALGOR, MAESTRO).
o Proficiency with AUTOCAD
o Basic familiarity with the MSC fleet and operations
o General engineering calculations and studies including:
– Trim and stability and trim and stability booklet preparation
– Dry-docking calculations
– Statics and dynamics
o Proficiency with MS Office desktop applications.
• Experience in intact and damage stability analysis, dry-dockings, and ship surveying and inspection.
• Place of Performance: Work shall be performed at Washington, DC. Travel may be required.
• Must be a US citizen, and MUST have either an interim or active security clearance.Please send resume and salary requirements
