PURPOSE OF JOB:
Work with an experienced development team to create software tools to manage human capital. You’ll work with Oracle 11g, Tomcat, Java 1.6, JSP’s, and Web 2.0 technologies in a true software development environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, update and maintain Java objects, JSP’s, taglibs and core business logic.
Technologies will also include Freemarker Template, XML, Struts, Spring, Hibernate or iBatis, HTML, CSS and SQL.
Enforce best of breed database, persistence and Java code
Build and test for Oracle 11g

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
5 years of experience
Experience with Java persistence layers
Experience with Object Oriented Principles and Design Patterns
Experience with Oracle Stored Procedures
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Superior problem solving skills.
Analytical skills – Must demonstrate the ability to objectively evaluate issues/problems and create an optimal solution that meets the needs all involved parties.
Organization skills – Must be able to manage and resolve multiple unresolved issues, as well as staying on top of them with follow up and escalation if needed.
US Citizenship or Green Card

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Java certified.
Preference for experience with high availability architectures.
Preference for experience with secure government information systems, Human Capital Management systems, and/or ERP systems.
Experience in ASP/hosted environments.
Strong background working in Relational Databases
