Responsibilities:

• Maintain security architectures for internal and external customers

• Review security configuration and installation of networking devices, IDS scanning technologies, and Microsoft and LINUX server builds to meet customer and business needs

• Maintain all procedures and audit logs to ensure that security is being maintained on all devices

• Conduct periodic network security assessments

• Stay abreast of security trends and new technologies that will enhance current and future network security architectures

• Identify, report, and resolve security violations as well as maintain systems to protect data from unauthorized users

• Represent Information security department during ongoing audits

• Educate staff though the use of the Intranet on security subjects that promotes awareness

Skills alignment:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field supplemented with relevant Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, ISC2 etc.

• Exposure to information security, including risk management in corporate information security programs and hands-on security implementation.

• Programming, scripting and database management skills such as WMI, PowerShell, Unix Shell scripting, Perl, PHP, MySQL, Oracle etc.

• Understanding of the strategic elements and processes of corporate security in a business environment.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Operating environments and Ecommerce applications

• Experience with network and application scanning tools and intrusion detection systems.

• Knowledge of penetration and hacking techniques and tools and countermeasures.

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required.

• Demonstrable troubleshooting and analytical skills and an entrepreneurial approach to the job.
