Our firm has an immediate need for a Java/Oracle Developer. This is for a long term contract.

Primary Duties:

Provide software and database development with Oracle. Support efforts to improve maintenance reporting processes (software and database development) for legacy and modernization programs. Specific tasks include:
• Develop, maintain and audit Configuration Management section databases containing equipment and system reliability, maintainability and related statistical parameters and data base tables
• Configure Oracle End User Applications to work with Oracle based reliability and maintainability statistical tables.
• Develop query, analysis, maintenance, and reporting capabilities of Configuration Management Section information.
• Explore the development of processes (software and database development) using reporting systems to improve quality assurance of information in
databases, ad hoc report generation, and management information tools.

Min Degree/Education Level:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
Sun Certified Java Developer is desirable

Min Exp (in years):

4+ yrs experience in software and database development and maintenance, particularly PL/SQL and Java Script. 1 yr. experience programming JSP using Oracle JDeveloper 10g or higher
Required Skills or Specialized Knowledge:
• Have in-depth knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Internet Technologies.
• Have in-depth knowledge of relational and object design methodologies.
• Be proficient in complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including information strategy planning, requirement analysis, design,
development, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and production support along with application maintenance and support.
• Must have the ability to code PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers in an Oracle 10g/11g environment.
• The ability to write complex SQL queries, views and materialized views is also required. A strong understanding of HTML, CSS and experience
programming with the Oracle Web Toolkit (especially the HTP package) is desirable.
• Must also be able to write Unix/Korn shell scripts using a vi editor.
• An understanding of XML and XSLT is desirable as well as any experience working with Oracle Discoverer and familiarity with the Java Standard
Tag Library (JSTL).
