Prestigious Non-Profit organization located in the Washington DC metro area is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to work in the Washington DC metro Area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Managing international employees
2. Translate cultural and international customs for North American staff and American customs and cultures to international staff
4. Conduct staff development programs
5. Provide orientation and training to international employees.
6. Study of company’s procedures focusing on information inflow
7. Analyze relevant company data such as staffing patterns and identify areas of weakness and recommend improvements
8. Update and maintain confidential personnel files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
9. Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports for management.
10. Confer with personnel concerned to ensure smooth functioning of newly implemented human resources development policies, programs and strategies.
11.Synchronizes and maintains employee and organizational data through HRIS.
12. Processes paperwork including new hire license, background, reference and all other new hire related information.
13. Responsible for filing organizational, employee and state/federal compliance information.
14. Maintains personnel records of staff and initiates forms required for salary increases.
15. Contributes in the development of employee appreciation events, activities and rewards.
16. Participates in the interview process of applicants and properly screens all applicants.
17. Works with the Human Resource Director and administration to assist in the new hire orientation process.
18. Completes required forms and reports.
19. Maintains license verifications and I9 records of currents employees and notifies employees when due for renewal.
20. Participates in and coordinates Safety Committee Meeting.
