HR Coordinator (Silver Springs, MD)

  • We are seeking a dynamic HR Coordinator for our client in the entertainment industry. This is a wonderful opportunity for a junior to mid level HR person to gain exposure to a full range of the HR gamut in all facets.

    Responsibilities:

    Answer incoming telephone calls and assist directly with general inquires
    Draft, edit, and proofread documents
    Code and track HR invoices
    Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications, benefits information, and job openings in line with company policy on these matters.
    Maintain HRIS data and create Ad Hoc reports
    Assist with company recruiting to include drafting and posting job ads internal and externally and scheduling interviews
    Assist with new hire orientation to include scheduling, preparing benefit packet and creating personnel file jackets
    Assist with collection of HR documents to include annual benefit enrollment forms, annual review forms and other HR related acknowledgments
    Responsible for maintaining personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retain records in a manner consistent with company record retention requirement.
    Maintain the inventory of employee forms, tax forms, and department supplies
    Maintains office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legally compliant manner.
    Manage incoming and external mail and deliveries
    Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
    Assist with company event planning, and other employee morale initiatives. Prepare HR related employee communications
    Participate in special projects, and assist all functional areas of the human resources.
    All other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Must be professional, organized, efficient and demonstrate the ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
    Must have strong attention to detail
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
    Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure workflow efficiency
    Proficiency with various with various computer software packages including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
    BS degree in Human Resource preferred or Business Management and/or 3-5 years experience in human resources.
    Experience must demonstrate progressive growth in HR.
    Experience with ABRA and ADP strongly preferred.

    • Compensation: $24 to $26 Hourly DOE
