Production Company in Takoma Park, MD seeking entry level and above Assistant Editor to work on series special for cable network.

This position starts immediately – for rest of February thru April the hours will vary depending on how busy things get, but will generally be somewhere around 20-30 hours a week. Hours could increase to 40/week depending on how busy we are. Being able to be flexible will be crucial.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

- experience with Final Cut Pro, Compressor, MPEG Streamclip
- high level of organization – will be dealing with 4 separate shows simultaneously and a large volume of media
- ability to work under stress and deal with quick turnarounds on assignments
- college degree and familiarity with the post production process

This position pays $15 an hour.

This is an excellent opportunity to get a lot of hands on experience in both production and post production. Great for recent grads and those getting started in their careers eager to learn and contribute.
