J. Spargo & Associates, Inc. is an event management company located in Fairfax, VA. We have an opening for a Database Analyst (Level I) who will be responsible for registration, housing and lead retrieval data. The applicant must have the ability to communicate with multiple departments, clients and outside contractors. Applicant must also be able to provide user support as needed. The applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and creation of reports, imports and exports. This role includes creating and updating SQL Server databases using a predefined template, as well as making minor data and structure updates as dictated by various developers. In addition, this role will also include creation, monitoring and execution of SSIS and DTS packages that alter registration, housing and client reference data.

Requirements:

• HS diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in CIS or related field preferred
• 1+ years related work and/or school experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player that requires minimal supervision
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of MSSSQL Server Management Studio and SSRS preferred
• Excellent MS Access and Excel skills preferred
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports preferred
• No travel required
