    About See Forever
See Forever opened in 1997, with the goal of creating a small, nurturing high school for students who had not succeeded in traditional schools. Currently we operate a middle school and high school, both located in the former Bruce Evans Middle School building at 57th and East Capitol Streets NE in Washington, DC.

See Forever also operates the Maya Angelou Academy in Laurel, MD — the school within the District of Columbia’s New Beginnings Youth Center for youth who have been adjudicated delinquent. In addition, we operate an affiliated Young Adult Learning Center in Washington, DC.

Our school approach and design have worked where others have failed. Over 70% of our graduates have gone on to postsecondary school after graduating from our high schools, even though many had quit or been put out of school before coming to us. Sixty percent of our graduates have earned or are in the processing of earning a credential, and in some areas their attainment is higher than the national average for their peers. MAPCS is recognized as a national model, having created the sort of high-quality school often reserved for the most affluent, but in our case designed specifically for the most disadvantaged and often academically in-need students.
